"Trojan Women" By Euripides
As part of the Kypria Festival 2001 the Aplo Theatro of Greece will give three performances of Euripides "Trojan Women."
Euripides was trying to get a point across about the futility of war when he wrote "Trojan Women." It is one of the oldest war plays in history. The play was first performed long ago in 415BC. Women are perceived as victims of war in the play and throughout the performance one comes to understand the meaninglessness of war.
