"Jazz Meets Classic"

In this concert Christof Spendel and Ratko Delorko are fusing jazz and classical music to bring an unforgettable performance to Cyprus.

Christof Spendel first kicked off his career as a jazz musician with the group of "Jazztrack" and toured all over Europe. He spends his time in Europe and the USA, teaching in Jazz clinics and working for television. He has a CD called "Cool Street."

Ratko Delorko, born in Hamburg is one of the talented musicians of this century. He has given many performances in Europe. Among composing music for piano, orchestra and chamber music he has also composed electronic music.

"Jazz Meets Classic" was started as a series of concerts by Christof Spendel and Ratko Delorko in 1999. Although their program is daring it has proved to be very entertaining and nationally acclaimed. During this concert you will hear Bach, Handel, Mozart and Schumann as well as pieces by the performers themselves. The music will travel along the path from Kunst der Fuge” (the Art of the Fuge) to Romantic, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and contemporary music.

The pianists exceedingly superb skill and passion for their music will take audiences to another dimension.
