The Chilingirian Quartet

 

The Chilingirian Quartet is one of the most established and celebrated quartet in the world. This year they celebrate their 30th anniversary and after having traveled to nearly 50 countries and with numerous recordings with respected record companies the Chilingirian Quartet is coming to Cyprus.

 

The Chilingirian Quartet plays at the Queen Elizabeth and Wigmore Halls and has received the Royal Philharmonic Society's coveted Chamber Ensemble Award.
 

The Quartet has appeared in festivals such as the Edinburgh and Aldeburgh festivals, South Bank Centre, Barbican and Wigmore Hall; the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Munich Herkulessaal, Zurich Tonhalle, Vienna Konzerthaus, Stockholm Konserthuset and Tivoli Festival in Copenhagen. They also tour North and South America, New Zealand, the Far East and Africa.

 

The Quartet have also done work for the BBC.

 

See the Chilingirian Quartet at the Pasydy Auditorium in Nicosia on the 26th February, then on the 27th February at the Markidion Theatre Pafos.
