Brazilian pianist Arnaldo Cohen

Arnaldo Cohen, born in Brazil of Russian descent has played in the United States and abroad. He began his music career at the tender age of five. He graduated the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro with an honors degree in piano and violin. He then trained with Jacques Klein, and later in Vienna with Bruno Seidhofer and Dieter Weber. 

Arnaldo’s signature is his individuality and talent for a burnished, unforced bronze like sound. He has a special feel for rhythm and texture and his music has a romantic melody.

The pianist has played with orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic, the Philharmonia, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and the Santa Cecilia Orchestra of Rome. He has performed under great conductors such as Kurt Sanderling, Kurt Masur and Yehudi Menuhin.
