ACT
![]() ACT (Anglo-Cypriot Theatre) was born in 1982 with a production of Noel Coward’s “Private Lives”. The following years saw a gradual increase in the number and variety of shows – all in English – offered to Nicosia audiences with an emphasis on comedies during the early years, offset by “heavier” material as the actors, directors and offstage workers gained experience. Since December 1990 ACT's annual pantomime has proved an irresistible attraction for adults and children alike, it involves by far the largest number of people, brings in the biggest audiences, and raises funds that permit us to fund less obvious crowd-pleasers for the rest of the season and – equally important – to donate a goodly sum to charity. Members are a mixture of expatriates (of many nationalities) and Cypriots or permanent residents. Anyone interested in English theatre is welcome to join. These are the productions put on over the last 19 years. PAST PRODUCTIONS (YACT –Youth ACT)
